  President’s Award

All Grade 8 Leaners at Stanford Lake College are enrolled into the President's Award Bronze Standard.  Each studenti expected to finish the course in their first year and then encouraged to progress onto Silver and Gold Standards.

Details of The Bronze Standard Award

The Sections

The Programme has four Sections designed to provide a balanced
programme of personal development.

Service To learn how to give useful service to others
Skills To encourage the development of personal interests, creativity or practical skills
Physical Recreation To encourage participation in physical recreation and improvement in performance
Adventurous Journey To encourage a spirit of adventure and discovery whilst undertaking a journey in a group

 

Each Stanford Lake Student is enrolled for Bronze by midterm
of term 1 in their Grade 8 year.

  • Minimum completion period of 6 months.
  • The participant must complete the requirements in
    each of the four sections below:
  1. Service
  2. Physical Recreation
  3. Skills/ Interest
  4. Adventurous Journey

At least 24 hours spread over 3 months.

Regular effort and improvement spread of 3 months

The minimum requirements for the Bronze Adventourous Journey is completed by the end of term 1 on completion of the Iron Crown Escapade

PLUS a Participant must do an extra 3 months in either Service, Physical Recreation or Skill
